Jodie Murray was approached by a Global PLC. The CEO provided her with a detailed brief and remit to source a DPO to head up, reshape and set the company data privacy strategy and policy across multiple business areas. The role had been released for 3 months
at the point of instruction and the initial approach was direct sourcing, it had been offered and declined twice.
Jodie conducted a through market appraisal of DPO’s in the regulated space. She mapped out a short list of 4 capable individuals that would view the role as a progressive career move, held the necessary and desired qualifications, all of whom had the required gravitas to implement a whole new range of policies and procedures across multiple business areas, globally. All 4 were moved through to interview stage, 2 were 2nd interviewed and one was moved forward to offer.
The client offered the DPO role. The salary and package offered included a 30% uplift in renumeration plus a hiring bonus. The candidate remains in appointment since acceptance and continues to exceed in their remit to run that department, seeking continuous improvement and development. All achieved within a 6 week run up to offer.
