As part of our responsibility as a business, we are always looking at new ways to do our bit for the environment. To reduce plastic bottle waste, we have recently invested in a water cooler in our office from AquAid.

Our partnership with AquAid has also given us the opportunity to help those less fortunate than ourselves, because with each purchase an automatic donation is made to The Africa Trust.

These funds are used to build ‘Elephant Pumps’, which are a modified version of an age-old Chinese rope pulley system. One of these pumps is currently being installed in Africa on our behalf, and it will be a much-needed source of clean and fresh drinking water for many.

Boxtree’s name will be proudly displayed on our well and we look forward to sharing a photo of the villagers with the pump in the near future.

To date, AquAid have build over 8,000 Elephant Pumps across parts of Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe, and have donated in excess of £17 million to charity.
